Michael Pangrazio is an American artist who is best known for his work as a concept artist and matte painter in the film industry. He was born on November 26, 1950, in Pennsylvania, USA.

Pangrazio began his career in the film industry in the early 1980s, working on films such as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Blade Runner. He was hired by Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) in 1981, where he worked on many of the company's most famous films, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and the Star Wars trilogy.

Pangrazio's work as a matte painter and concept artist was instrumental in creating the groundbreaking visual effects that became synonymous with ILM. He was responsible for creating the iconic landscapes and backgrounds that were used in the Star Wars films, and his work on films such as The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi earned him Academy Award nominations.
